Frequently Asked Questions

Chiropractic care focuses on diagnosing and treating conditions related to the spine, joints, and nervous system. We use a variety of techniques to adjust misalignments, which can help reduce pain and improve function.

There are so many options when it comes to Chiropractic Care. My toolbox includes instrument-based adjusting, drop table (Thompson), Muscle Activation Technique, Rocktape, and Cranial Sacral Therapy. I offer full-spine care, and will offer home exercises including spinal curve support when indicated. Lifestyle and ergonomic guidance will be offered as needed.

Chiropractors can help with a variety of conditions including:

  • Back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Sciatica
  • Joint pain (shoulder, hip, knee)
  • Prenatal and postpartum support
  • Sports injuries
  • Posture correction
  • Concussion
  • Maintenance for optimal health

The number of visits needed varies depending on a variety of factors, including the type of injury, state of health, lifestyle, and desired outcomes. A plan of care will be presented at your second visit. As we proceed with care, this plan may be modified based on how you are responding, or if your goals for care change. Health and healing is a process.

During your first visit, we will discuss your health history and any current symptoms or concerns you may have. We will also perform a physical exam including orthopedic and neurological testing when relevant, digital postural analysis and may request diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, if necessary. If there are preliminary recommendations to (for example) reduce acute pain, these will be discussed. Otherwise, a second visit will be scheduled at which time all exam findings will be discussed, recommendations for care, and if indicated, we will begin care at this time.
