The Resource that has had the #1 impact on my Mindset

Mindset Matters

Many people who come to me in practice do so because they have physical pain. By the time many are moved to make an appointment, the pain is having an impact on their quality of life or affecting emotional health and possibly even their work and relationships. We assess and address the areas that may be contributing to their dis-function and as the pain improves, often so do the other areas. The mind/ body can not be separated. Just as movement, exercise and nutrition are important for building and maintaining health, so is a healthy mindset. Seems simple, but many research studies have proven that something as "simple" as a positive expectation can be a major predictor of improvement from injury and pain reduction.

Health* is one of my highest values, my vocation and is the foundation for which everything else in life can build. When something really resonates that I feel can better my health (or others), I can’t help but share.

Since June 2022, I have been a member of “ElIVate Club” with Dr. Nona. I originally came across her account because she is a Chiropractor so she had some relatable struggles and experiences, but it is not Chiro-specific content. Aside from her membership, she has a ton of free content on instagram and facebook (content and tools to implement today) and in all my years of seminars, books, audio, podcasts, journaling, etc, it has had the largest impact on my mindset, seeing massive shifts in my life as a result. The weekly content has provided many “aha’s” and has offered consistency to consciously feed my brain content and messaging that is nourishing (makes sense, right?! Garbage in = garbage out. Healthy in = Healthy out). She also offers in-person retreats (on my bucket list) as well as occasional free workshops to deep-dive some of the content (and for those reading this in time, she has one coming up April 2024), click HERE for more info.

Not everything will resonate with everyone, but if you feel "stuck", bored, at a plateau, uninspired or are simply looking to "dream big" and explore what's possible, I encourage you to check out her content and the resources she has available.

If this DOESN't resonate, yet you suspect something is missing for you in the arena of "mindset support", feel free to reach out and there may be other avenues that may be a fit to support you towards further holistic health!

*Dorland's Medical Dictionary defines Health as "Optimum physical, mental and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmities".

Are you proactive or reactive in regards to your health?
By Dr. Karen Quinn 13 Jan, 2021
Are you reactive when it comes to your health, and take steps to support your mind and body once you are in crisis, or do you take daily steps as a proactive strategy to be and stay well in the first place? Understanding your underlying beliefs and approach to health can be eye-opening and bring transparency of where things may need to shift if you aren't living at the level of health you desire.

Having a Conscious Lifestyle

Health does not occur by accident. Our actions reflect our beliefs and values.
By Dr. Karen Quinn 23 Apr, 2020
I’ve been wanting to put thoughts down in writing for some time now. It has been an interesting adjustment to the current state of the world and I’ve had a multitude of emotion around everything. Overall I’ve kept my chin up and have been able to remain present and focused on those things I can control, but I definitely have waves of fear, negativity, angst and despair over what is to come. Valid human emotions during such an unprecedented crisis if you ask me.
